I'm sorry, but did Brad Pitt hit the wall or what? What the hell happened to his face? Fatherhood must be rough. While Angelina is smoldering at his side, Brad's face is slowly melting. He's just not ~hot~ anymore. A few more years, and his kids are going to call him Grandpa.Wednesday, January 17, 2007

Golden Girl
I'm watching the Golden Globes right now, and my oh my, there are some stunners out there tonight. My favorite of the night was Maria Menounos. I know, she's not an actress or nominee, but she really looks amazing. Wearing a jewel green tunic dress that's wrapped snugly in all the right places, she takes simplicity to the next level. For a girl who used to be "fat," she's come a long way and she's my inspiration. She's also my homegirl (hails from my hometown), so have to give her props! If I can find better pics, I'll show them!

Random Item of the Week
.
After seeing someone receive a Chia Plush Cuddlies Cub at a Secret Santa party, I HAD to have it, so my honey and I drove to the local CVS and found one for myself. It's now perched next to my PC and phone in the office, and is such a great Chia alternative, considering I get NO natural light in my gray cube. It even plays the "ch-ch-chia" jingle when you press on its paw.
Cub or Puppy (I got the Cub....so much cuter!!!)

Hyun Young's "Yunna's Dream"
The music video that was most watched on the internet in 2006 was actress Hyun Young’s "Yunna's Dream" (aka "A Sister’s Dream") according to internet music site Mnet.com.
The company on Friday announced the most viewed music video, most downloaded song, and longest chart-topping song based on its service data from Dec. 1, 2005 until Nov. 31, 2006.
Hyun Young’s music video topped the list with 84,513 viewings, followed by SG Wannabe’s “Partner for Life” with 65,219 and Paek Ji-young’s “I Won’t Fall in Love Again” with 58,392.
“The result was unexpected,” Kim Seong-il, a manager at Mnet, said. “But I recall that the music video became popular on the grapevine among netizens who said that it was funny and interesting.
I don't know if they meant that this video was viewed the most globally or just in Korean, but it's a cute video. Influences range from Britney Spears during her Catholic school girl phase to the Pussycat Dolls when they're vamping it up. The song is a remake of the Romanian hit "Numa Numa" by O-Zone.
If anyone can translate what's going on in the video, please leave a comment! Thanks! :)

Everyone Thinks They're Barbie
When I was little, I played with dolls. Nowadays, if you're famous, you can BE one. The cast of Desperate Housewives were just remade into miniature version of themselves. Madame Alexander is coming out with a line depicting the ladies of Wisteria Lane this winter, but really, I don't know anyone, no, not even fans of the show, who would want one of these hanging around in their home. The Bree doll looks pretty dead-on, but the others look like they've been cloned from one head and stuck with different wigs.
I guess if I owned these, I'd have a little fun with them. Maybe re-enact your fave scenes? Why not create your own stop-motion animation? No, I'm not going to make them having sex with one another (you pervs), but maybe something cooler, like being attacked by Transformers, then eaten by Godzilla. That's way more fun.
Alternatively, I guess I'd rather have a Bree doll than a Hilary Duff Barbie doll. Look at the teeth; they're as real as Duff's veneers! Look at that God-awful polka-dotted dress. Who wants to play with that? Who thought that was Fashionable?!? Barf. Buy at your risk at Toys'R'Us for $16.99.
The Gwen Stefani dolls are pretty darn cute. It's no wonder Gwen's star keeps rising. I'm liking the Alice-in-Wonderland look-alike, out of the 8 available designs. Being a fan of Alice, that is def. a cute reinterpretation. Available at Target for $19.99.

Scarlett ♥ Rbk
Having been the face for L'Oreal, Louis Vuitton, and Calvin Klein, Scarlett Johansson is bringing out her inner designer. Not only is she collaborating with Reebok to design a line of retro aerobic-inspired workout gear, called "Scarlett ♥ Rbk," but she will appear in their global print, TV, and Internet ads to promote the line.
“Scarlett embodies the pulse points of our brand—individuality, authenticity and a life lived to the fullest in perpetual motion,” Paul Harrington, president and CEO of Canton, Mass.-based Reebok, said in a statement about the 21-year-old actress. “These characteristics make her the perfect fit for our new women’s footwear and apparel collection and also for our exciting new women’s campaign.”
Click below to get a sneak peek at the new line. I'm not crazy about the heart cut-outs and the 80's style is not jiving with me. I mean, this is the woman who epitomizes the modern sex kitten and old-Hollywood glamour, but rather than coming out with something hot or sexy, it's old (come on, the 80's?!?) and juvenile. Nowhere close to what Stella McCartney has done for Adidas. The sneakers are cute, though I'm still disappointed that this line just isn't more....exciting. There's just nothing new or fun about this. I think Reebok missed the mark here, but it doesn't matter, people will flock to buy this line 'cause it was designed by Miss J. Marketing, ya know? The collection is due in high-end retailers in March 07.
