Scarlett ♥ Rbk

Having been the face for L'Oreal, Louis Vuitton, and Calvin Klein, Scarlett Johansson is bringing out her inner designer. Not only is she collaborating with Reebok to design a line of retro aerobic-inspired workout gear, called "Scarlett ♥ Rbk," but she will appear in their global print, TV, and Internet ads to promote the line.

“Scarlett embodies the pulse points of our brand—individuality, authenticity and a life lived to the fullest in perpetual motion,” Paul Harrington, president and CEO of Canton, Mass.-based Reebok, said in a statement about the 21-year-old actress. “These characteristics make her the perfect fit for our new women’s footwear and apparel collection and also for our exciting new women’s campaign.”

Click below to get a sneak peek at the new line. I'm not crazy about the heart cut-outs and the 80's style is not jiving with me. I mean, this is the woman who epitomizes the modern sex kitten and old-Hollywood glamour, but rather than coming out with something hot or sexy, it's old (come on, the 80's?!?) and juvenile. Nowhere close to what Stella McCartney has done for Adidas. The sneakers are cute, though I'm still disappointed that this line just isn't more....exciting. There's just nothing new or fun about this. I think Reebok missed the mark here, but it doesn't matter, people will flock to buy this line 'cause it was designed by Miss J. Marketing, ya know? The collection is due in high-end retailers in March 07.

Britney Asking for Fan Support

.
Britney wrote this sweet note to her fans today. I really hope that she comes through on her promise to be "bigger and better." Let's hope she doesn't disappoint. The flashing doesn't bother me so much as the smoking, drinking, and excessive partying when she should be home bonding w/ her children. And the music! I hope it's good and not crappy as ppl are predicting. She should look for Justin to help her out. :p

Dear Fans,

It has been a while since I've addressed you personally here on my official website. The last couple of years have been quite a ride for me, the media has criticized my every move and printed a skewed perception of who I really am as a human being.Behind every decision I have made in my public life there always seems to be an apparent contradiction. I have come to terms with that which is why I usually don't pay much attention to it.

The last couple of years have been very enlightening for me and now that I've had the time to be "me", I've been able to sit down and think about where I want to go with myself as an entertainer with absolutely no strings attached. I am now more mature and feel like I am finally "free". I've been working so hard on this new album and I can't wait for you all to hear it and to go on tour again! I would like to exclusively tell you that I am working hard to release the new album sometime later this year, but the date is of course not certain yet. I look forward to coming back this year bigger and better than ever, and to also reaching out to my fans on a more personal level. I noticed today that one of my biggest fansites is shutting down soon and I want you all to know that I do understand all the reasons that went behind making that decision, and I am sad to see it closing. If I were you I'd be unhappy too if I had to read what I've been reading every day. But trust me, I get it. I know I've been far from perfect and the media has had a lot of fun exaggerating my every move, but I want you all to know that I love my fans so much, and I appreciate everything you have done for me, so Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Love,
Britney

ScarJo and JT, Sitting in a Tree...

.
According to IMDB, Nick Cassavetes (the director of Alpha Dog) wrote about getting first views of Justin Timberlake's newest video.

I had the pleasure of visiting the set of the music video, "What Goes Around Comes Back Around." It stars Scarlett Johannson, Shawn Hatosy, and of course, Mr. T. There is even an appearance by the lovely Miss Wahlquist, and it is directed by the incomparable Sam Bayer. The stuff looked great. Should be fun to see.

Justin and his best friend, Trace, had another friend named Sean Avery. Avery was kicked out of Rachel Hunter's house where he was living, and Trace, out of the kindness of his heart, offered him to stay at his house until he found a new place. Avery started living at his place, and not only slept with his girl (Elisha), but left with her. Trace found out about it in a picture in the tabloids.

The lyrics, "don't want to think about it, don't want to talk about it" are direct quotes from Trace when Justin tried to console him.

The video is being shot in downtown LA. Sam is an incredible shooter. There are two more days of filming (todaty and tomorrow). I don't know when it will air, but when I find out, I will post more.

I can't wait to see this video! Of course, nothing in this "leak" even mentions that Scarlett is playing JT's love interest, but whatev, why would he NOT cast her as his love interest? I'm sure Cameron must be steaming with this news, since there are rumors she and JT are kaput. I'm not a fan of JT in that I think he's hot (he's really too effeminate for my tastes), but he's musically a genius, so I'll give him that.

BTW, the "lovely Miss Wahlquist" is actually Nick's wife, an actress named Heather Wahlquist. Which is maybe why he was on the set of the video.

Britney's New Year's Resolution was...

.
...to “stop biting my fingernails. Just to take care of me more, I think.”

These words were spoken an hour before she reportedly passed out in Pure, the Vegas hotspot that paid her to ring in the new year.

Maybe it should be to stop flashing your nether regions, abandoning your children, and quit smoking and drinking?!? OMG, I used to love you Brit, but your so-called comeback looks more like a train derailment. Can
someone PLEASE intervene and smack some sense into the poor woman? I've never seen anyone cry out more in desperation than she has. All those million$, but what does it mean when the whole world is laughing at you?

And who the hell did her hair? It looks so friggin' fake. Like she's wearing a weave. Time's a wasting on that comeback!!!

A Real Hero

.
With Heroes on hiatus, the new year starts with a real hero. This was such an inspiring story I really wanted to share it here. It makes me emotional just thinking about his bravery! Reports the New York Times:

It was every subway rider’s nightmare, times two.

Who has ridden along New York’s 656 miles of subway lines and not wondered: “What if I fell to the tracks as a train came in? What would I do?”

And who has not thought: “What if someone else fell? Would I jump to the rescue?”

Wesley Autrey, a 50-year-old construction worker and Navy veteran, faced both those questions in a flashing instant yesterday, and got his answers almost as quickly.

Mr. Autrey was waiting for the downtown local at 137th Street and Broadway in Manhattan around 12:45 p.m. He was taking his two daughters, Syshe, 4, and Shuqui, 6, home before work.

Nearby, a man collapsed, his body convulsing. Mr. Autrey and two women rushed to help, he said. The man, Cameron Hollopeter, 20, managed to get up, but then stumbled to the platform edge and fell to the tracks, between the two rails.

The headlights of the No. 1 train appeared. “I had to make a split decision,” Mr. Autrey said.

So he made one, and leapt.

Mr. Autrey lay on Mr. Hollopeter, his heart pounding, pressing him down in a space roughly a foot deep. The train’s brakes screeched, but it could not stop in time.

Five cars rolled overhead before the train stopped, the cars passing inches from his head, smudging his blue knit cap with grease. Mr. Autrey heard onlookers’ screams. “We’re O.K. down here,” he yelled, “but I’ve got two daughters up there. Let them know their father’s O.K.” He heard cries of wonder, and applause.

Power was cut, and workers got them out. Mr. Hollopeter, a student at the New York Film Academy, was taken to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. He had only bumps and bruises, said his grandfather, Jeff Friedman. The police said it appeared that Mr. Hollopeter had suffered a seizure.

Mr. Autrey refused medical help, because, he said, nothing was wrong. He did visit Mr. Hollopeter in the hospital before heading to his night shift. “I don’t feel like I did something spectacular; I just saw someone who needed help,” Mr. Autrey said. “I did what I felt was right.”

Bravo, bravo!!! He deserves every accolade that is bestowed to him!!!

This poor thing must have been abused, but there's something insanely funny and scary at the same time when you see this cat's black eyes and sharp teeth seething at you.
